Aga and James Hilferty both hold the prestigious WSET Diploma, are MW students, and are obsessed with wine. Aga was awarded Bolgheri e Sassicaia prize for top score DipWSET D3 theory. They are Certified Madeira Wine Educators with IVBAM, CS, and hold various regional certifications from Spain and Portugal to Napa. They live in Miami with their cats and diverse collection of bottles, which due to constant depletions has difficulty to grow. They work in the wine industry (Aga for a supplier and James a distributor) and are passionate about teaching and writing. Their articles were published in Wine Enthusiast, the Tasting Panel, SommTV Magazine, Polish Trybuszon, among others. In their free time, you’ll find them in the kitchen experimenting with various cuisines, on the couch watching re-runs of “Columbo”, or reading books (most likely on wine). They’re in love with Mornington Pinots, Rutherford dust, Madeira, and cheap Rose by the pool.
