Amanda is the Digital Media Manager at Commonwealth Wine School. She is a highly versatile audio, print, and video broadcast journalist-turned-wine geek from Baltimore, Maryland, with over four-plus years of experience in the beverage industry. She has worked in multi-media production for companies such as WERS, Boston University, Harvard University, and Seacrest Studios. Amanda holds a MA in journalism from Emerson College and has written for publications such as Wine Enthusiast. While working in production, she worked full-time as the assistant manager at Charles Street Liquors for three years. Her passion for storytelling was always her main focus, but she wanted to combine that with her love of wine.
She decide to pursue more wine education and became one of the founding recipients of the Urban Grape Wine Studies Award for Students of Color. In this scholarship, she participated in six-month full-scope internships with MS Walker, The Urban Grape, and Row 34. The scholarship program also includes education from Boston University’s Certificate Program in Wine Studies, where she has completed up to Level Two with Merit.
