Anne Richter Arnold is a writer, journalist, and educator with a passion for all things wine – especially its fascinating history and the intricacies of terroir. Her goal is to take the mystery out of wine and make it something easy to understand and thus more enjoyable. She is the founder and chief contributor for the blog and website FromtheVinetoWine.com, where she regularly posts in order to share knowledge, experiences, and video interviews with interesting people, especially women, in the wine world.
In addition to teaching at Commonwealth Wine School, Anne holds private and public tastings, classes and events on the New Hampshire and Maine Seacoast. She also consults for local restaurants on wine list selections and food pairings.
Anne is a Certified Specialist of Wine and holds the WSET Diploma. She was one of the top scorers on her French Wine Scholar exam (98%) and earned her Spanish Wine Scholar and Italian Wine Scholar certifications with Highest Honors. She earned her Champagne Master Level Certification with Highest honors from the Wine Scholar Guild. In addition, Anne is currently studying for her Bourgogne Master Level certification. She is a member of the Guild of Sommeliers, Society of Wine Educators and Wine Scholar Guild. Anne earned a BA in German and Economics at Barnard College and holds a master’s degree from Columbia University in International Business with a specialization in Marketing.
In addition to traveling to exciting wine destinations around the world, Anne enjoys gourmet cooking, playing the piano, running, kayaking, gardening, and raising a flock of very pampered chickens at her home in New Hampshire.
