Beaujolais Beyond Nouveau [May 14]

Friday, May 14th, 7pm - 8:30pm

The name "Beaujolais" often conjures images of colorfully labeled bottles bearing festive and fruity red wines which pair well with Thanksgiving dinner. These are the Beaujolais Nouveau wines which are released the 3rd Thursday of November which celebrate the first wines of the vintage. However, there are so many other Beaujolais wines to explore from white, rosé and Cru level reds. Join wine educator, Erika Frey, for a journey through the various Beaujolais wine styles and learn why these wines are favored by both somms and foodies. Learn about the Gamay grape variety and compare old world Gamay wine with new world Gamay. Find some new favorite wines which will pair nicely with warmer weather. Allons-y!
