Cacao Royale: USA vs Europe Wine & Chocolate [Feb 17]
Friday, February 17, 6:30-8pm ET
Although chocolate was first created in the Americas, most people think of Europe as the center for cacao credibility. For shame! It's time to challenge everything you know about who makes the 'best' chocolate.
Spend an evening with educator and writer (and functioning chocoholic) Adam Centamore exploring one of the world's most celebrated foods - chocolate! You'll sample amazing bars from the United States and across Europe. As you enjoy each delicious morsel you'll learn about how they are made, their fascinating histories, and other tidbits of information that drive home how special chocolate is. As you sample these treats, the real work starts - you have to decide which is better, the US or Europe.
To keep things really interesting, you'll be tasting each piece without knowing where it comes from! To keep the good times rolling, the chocolates will be matched with wines from around the world to create exquisite pairings that are sure to please. It's going to be a fun evening of opulent chocolates, delicious wines, and the tastiest competition possible.
