Celebrate Oktoberfest! Tasting German Beer Styles [Sept 23]
Friday, September 23, 6:30-8pm ET
Oktoberfest (or Octoberfest) is a German beer celebration that takes place every Autumn and is know around the world. It has given it’s name to a particular style of brown lager known as Marzen. Although this is the classic style of Munich there are a variety of styles brewed across the country, from black schwarzbiers, light pilsner-styles, crisp and fruity wheat beers, and brown dunkels. Join Cicerone-in-train Kim Simone for an evening of tasting and learning about the variety of styles being produced in Germany and the basics of decoding their labels.
