Classic Wines of Tuscany [June 2]

The stunning Tuscan countryside is home to fabulous, food friendly, and delicious wines made from the Sangiovese grape. Tuscany is also the home of the legendary Super Tuscan wines, created with such international grapes as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Brunello, Chianti, Chianti Classico and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano are considered by many to be classic wines, with Super Tuscans most recently being added to this category. However, no classic Tuscan wine list would be complete without the wine of the saints, the luscious dessert wine, Vin Santo.
