Eastern Europe: Slovenia, Romania, and Bulgaria [Feb 19]
Saturday, February 19th, 6-7:30pm
The Eastern European countries have been producing quality wines for millennia. As the home of Dionysus, the Greek god of the grape harvest and winemaking, this region was once known for some of the best wines in the world. Unfortunately being locked behind the Iron Curtain resulted in a dire situation for quality winemaking for decades; but now these regions are once again producing a wide array of wines worthy of attention.
Taste through and learn about the wine regions and styles of Slovenia, Romania, and Bulgaria in this class, and join in on a discussion of their future in the international market.
You can choose to take this course in person at Commonwealth Wine School or online. If you choose the online option, we will provide you with tasting lists so that you may purchase wine to taste along at home.
