Galicia - Exploring "Green Spain" [August 12]
Thursday, August 12th, 6:30 - 8pm
For those of us in New England, the rhythm and connection to the ocean is unquestioned. Some of the best seafood on the planet is brought through our harbors and unloaded on our docks. But if you head east on the Atlantic and keep going a few thousand miles, you can find a very similar culture, steeped in that oceanic brine in Spain: Galicia. Heavily influenced by Celtic culture, reliant upon the sea for sustenance and work, and fiercely proud, they also make some of the world's most beautiful wines. This class will showcase wines from the classic regions of Green Spain and give you some fresh ideas for what to drink with your next plate of fried clams, lobster tail, or baked cod.
You can choose to take this class at Commonwealth Wine School or Online through Zoom. Tastings are provided as part of the in-person class, or available for pick up at our school if you select the Online with Tasting Kit registration option.
