Go, Go, Goats! Pairing Wine and Goat Cheese [April 16]
Friday, April 16th, 6-8pm
It's hard to resist the bright, cheerful disposition of a well-made goat cheese. Forget those boring lumps of white clay adorning salads in cheap restaurants - legit goat milk cheeses are loaded with character and flavor. It's equally as difficult to resist the charms of spring wines. Their refreshing, citrusy personalities are all but irresistible when the sun is shining. What could be better than bringing these two peppy partners together?
Join cheese & wine educator (and friend to all goats) Adam Centamore for an evening exploring the delightful world of global goat cheese and wine pairings. You'll sample a collection of cheeses from around the world, each with their own personality and expression of place - terroir, as the French say. From tangy Loire Valley chèvres to the more austere cabras from Spain, there's so much to love. Learn why goat cheeses are some of the most misunderstood and underestimated wheels in all of cheesedom. Of course, an array of captivating wines that are perfect for spring will be matched in ways that will have you looking at wine and cheese pairings in a whole new light.
This class will be held Online through Zoom. Tasting Kits are available for pick up at our school if you select the Online with Tasting Kit registration option. For those who wish to purchase their own wine and cheese, lists will be provided ahead of time so that you may taste along at home.
