How to Read a Wine Label: Comparing USA & France [June 14]

Saturday, June 14, 6:30pm-8pm ET

Many people buy wines based just on the label…do you?

In this valuable class you’ll learn about the information on a wine label, and how to tell what are facts and what is marketing. Knowing this information will help you get more value for your money, understand how to figure out if a wine is a generic commercial wine or a hand-made artisanal bottling, and clues to what it’s going to taste like. In addition, you’ll learn the differences between an American wine label and a European one as we taste through examples from both continents. You’ll leave with the confidence to buy that bottle of Bordeaux or mysterious California blend!

Cost: $85

Location: Commonwealth Wine School
