Iconic Wines, Iconic Producers - Italian Icons [February 24]

Saturday, February 24, 6:30pm-8pm ET

Italian Icons

An iconic wine is typically one that has achieved a level of recognition, prestige, and influence that sets it apart from others. So many factors contribute to the iconic status of a wine or producer - From terroir and historical significance, to quality, consistency, critical acclaim, and cultural impact. And most of them are more expensive than many of us can afford.

Join Commonwealth Wine School Director, Jessica Sculley, for our iconic wine series, where we will delve into the significance of these wines, learn about their impact, and most importantly, get to taste them. We'll have the opportunity to sample some older vintages to see how they've held up through the years. Each class will be limited to a small group so that each person will have a healthy pour. Light appetizers will also be provided.

This tasting will feature:

Ca' del Bosco Franciacorta Extra Brut Cuvée Prestige Edizione 44

2004 Emidio Pepe Trebbiano d'Abruzzo

1992 Quintarelli Valpolicella Superiore

2017 Sassicaia

2013 Biondi Santi Brunello di Montalcino

2011 Borgogno Cannubi Barolo

Cost: $275

Location: Commonwealth Wine School
