Introduction to Non-Alcoholic (NA) Beverages [Nov 5]
Saturday, November 5th, 6:00-7:30pm
In this class you will learn about and taste examples of the rapidly expanding choices of non-alcoholic (NA) beverages. From beers, to mocktails, to wine and wine alternatives, the quality and options have improved dramatically. More and more people are adding NA drinking to their repertoire, whether it’s to reduce or eliminate alcohol in their diet. For many, drinking is about the ritual, not necessarily the alcohol.
Dry January is coming up, with many people starting off the new year alcohol free. If you might participate, start planning now, so you’ll have replacements that you enjoy drinking. Reasons for reducing alcohol include overall health, reducing calories, sleeping better, for pregnant women, safety, and to drink socially without the negative effects of too much alcohol.
Whatever your plans for NA drinking, or if you’re just curious, this class will introduce you to a wide range of NA beverages. Some NA beverages are good replacements for alcoholic beverages, some taste great in their own right and others are an acquired taste. Since taste is subjective, come to this class and try for yourself and even have some fun making a mocktail. You’ll leave equipped with knowledge you can use to make good NA choices.
You can choose to take this class at Commonwealth Wine School or Online through Zoom. Tastings are provided as part of the in-person class, or you may choose to purchase your NA beverages and take the class through Zoom.
