Mastering the Classics [March 11]
Saturday, March 11, 6:30-8pm ET
Mozart's Piano Concerto #16. Van Gogh's "Starry Night". Marty McFly in "Back to the Future". Some things are just classic. Timeless and revered, they stand as shining examples of their craft. Like fine art, wine and cheese have their own classics, their own masterpieces. Whether it's true Champagne from France or authentic Parmigiano Reggiano from Italy, these foods are often imitated but never, ever duplicated.
Join educator and writer (and edible history buff) Adam Centamore getting to know some of the icons of the wine and cheese world! You'll sample an array of true classics, paired together in authentic combinations that have stood the test of time while you learn what makes them so very special. Alpine cheese that has been made the same exact way for more than 900 years. An iconic Napa chardonnay that rocked the wine world to its core nearly five decades ago. Authentic, legit Parmigiano Reggiano. Sparkling French wine that predates the famous stuff by 150 years. It's sure to be the most delicious history lesson you've ever had. Spend an evening mastering the classics!
