Argentina’s wine regions date back to Spanish occupation. Over the centuries, this country has developed its own distinct wine styles and winemaking traditions, though it has become best known for its stellar Malbecs and Cabernets. However, from some of the highest vineyards in the world in Cafayate to the Pinot Noir-producing regions of Patagonia, there’s much more to Argentine wine than its big reds of Mendoza. This class will journey from north to south, exploring the extreme landscapes of Salta, the Andean slopes of San Juan and Mendoza, and the southernmost regions of Neuquén and Río Negro.
