Provence Wines: They Aren’t All Rosé [August 9]
Friday, August 9, 6:30-8pm ET
Even though 90% of the wine produced in Provence is Rosé, Provence has some spectacular hidden gems. Join instructor Jo-Ann Ross as her journey starts with a refreshing white wine from the Bouches-du- Rhône in the Camargue. We will then move along to Cassis to taste their well-known but not abundantly produced white wine.
While we learn about Rosé production and research from Provence’s Centre du Rosé, we will compare two Rosés from two different parts of Provence. Our first red wine comes from the garrigue-covered hills of Les-Baux-de-Provence. And, we will conclude our Provence journey with a tasting of Bandol - small production but very famous.
Join us for an in-depth and not to be missed exploration of the many styles of wines from Provence!
