Even though many people regard South Africa as a “new world” wine producing country, wines have been made here for centuries. Incredibly rugged geography, unique climatic influences, and a centuries-old winemaking tradition make South Africa a region worth studying.
Explore this country’s appellations and terroir-expressive wines in this class, while touching on the impact of major historical events and the future of the wine industry as climate change continues.
You can choose to take this course in person at Commonwealth Wine School or online. If you choose the online option, we will provide you with tasting lists so that you may purchase wine to taste along at home.
