The AOC Côtes du Rhône region stretches over 200km from Vienne, France, and the steep slopes of the Northern Rhône river valley to the broader rolling landscape of the Southern Rhône near Avignon. Wines have been produced here from indigenous varieties since pre-Roman times. And it was the king, in 1737, who declared that all wines shipped from the region be labelled CDR, which introduced the system protecting the origin of the wines of the region. Today, wines of the Côtes du Rhône and the Côtes du Rhône Villages are recognized throughout the world for their high quality, and often excellent value.
Join Jo-Ann Ross and Rhône Valley Wines for an in-depth exploration of the many styles of wine available from the Côtes du Rhône and the distinctive Côtes du Rhône Villages. Explore the diversity of the red, white and rosé wines from 23 authorized grape varieties. Discover a region committed to environmental sustainability, utilizing 2000 years of cultural and historical wine-making practices.
