Uruguay Master Class [Nov 2]

Wednesday, November 2, 6:30pm-8:30pm

With Tannat and Albariño in starring roles and a supporting cast of diverse grape varieties, Uruguay is home to some of South America’s most distinctive wines.

Nestled between Argentina and Brazil, Uruguay is South America’s fourth largest wine producer.Shaped by a mild, Atlantic climate, Uruguay is more comparable to some European wine regions than its Latin American neighbors, which have continental, Pacific, or sub-tropical influences

Whether you’re a wine expert, or a passionate beginner, come learn about Uruguay’s wines, past, present, and future, from Amanda Barnes. Barnes, who splits her time between South American and her native UK, is fast on her way to establishing herself as a leading authority on Uruguayan wines. Author of the newly published South American Wine Guide, Barnes is a regular contributor on South American wines to multiple English-language wine publications in the U.S. and worldwide.
