Wines of Armenia [April 24th]

Saturday, April 24th, 7:00-8:30pm

Nestled in the Caucasus Mountains, Armenia is considered to be one of the earliest places where wine was made, with archaeological evidence going back as far as 6,000 years ago near the village of Areni. The country is home to the oldest winery discovered, thought to be over 6,000 years old. This class will explore the climate, soils, grapes and traditions of this ancient wine region. Join Marina Giordano and special guest Simon Baiatian of Storica Wines as we explore sparkling, white and red wines of Armenia.

We will taste:

  • Keush Origins Extra Brut

  • Keush Blanc de Blancs

  • Zulal Voskehat

  • Zulal Areni Classic

  • Zulal Areni Reserve

This class will be held Online through Zoom. Wine Tasting Kits are available for pick up at our school if you select the Online with Tasting Kit registration option. For those who wish to purchase their own wine, you can get them directly from Storica Wines. If you are taking the class at home with another member of your household, there is no need to purchase an extra class, but we do suggest that you get an extra Tasting Kit.
