If you know the basic beer styles—such as what separates an Ale from a Lager and that Oktoberfest is actually held in September —then begin at Level 2. This beginner to intermediate beer course offers greater breadth and depth of material, more tasting opportunities and additional classroom hours compared to Level 1. It’s for anyone who:
• Works in beer or who wants a career in the industry
• Has a serious interest in deepening their beer knowledge
• Wishes to become a more confident beer taster
In this course you’ll learn:
About a wide range of beers and the main ingredients used in beer production.
Important beer producing regions of the US & the world.
The ins and outs of beer storage & service
Over 60 diverse beer styles and explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these beers with confidence using WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Beer®.

This class meets in person at Commonwealth Wine School. Tastings are provided as part of the in-person class. All students are given access to our online learning platform which includes recordings of lectures, quizzes, and study tips.
Cost: $895
